Philips Names Bharath Sesha as Managing Director for Indian Subcontinent

Philips has appointed Bharath Sesha as Managing Director for the Indian subcontinent, effective September 1, 2024. He will lead the company’s growth strategy in this capacity, putting a special emphasis on raising customer satisfaction and advancing operational excellence.

Sesha will oversee Philips’ Healthcare business, which is headquartered in Gurgaon, as well as the company’s Licence to Operate in India, which includes the Philips Innovation Campus (PIC) in Bengaluru, the Healthcare Innovation Centre (HIC) in Pune, and Global Business Services (GBS). He takes over from Daniel Mazon, who assumed a global role at Philips headquarters in the Netherlands after serving as Vice Chairman and Managing Director for the Philips Indian Subcontinent until April 1, 2024.

With more than 20 years of international experience, Bharath is a seasoned leader who brings with him a deep comprehension of the Indian market, especially in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. His areas of expertise include operational excellence, business development, and strategic leadership. He was Managing Director of Heubach Colorants India Ltd. before coming to Philips. Known for his ability to motivate and guide groups of people to perform at the highest level possible, he constantly produces outcomes while fostering creativity. He graduated with an MBA from the Institute for Technology & Management (ITM) and a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
