Ogilvy Group UK Appoints Jai Kotecha as President of Social

The Ogilvy Group UK, which brings together Ogilvy, Grey and New Commercial Arts, has appointed Jai Kotecha as President of Social, creating a new senior leadership role to strengthen and expand the group’s social capabilities.

Reporting directly to James Murphy, CEO of Ogilvy Group UK, Kotecha will oversee the development of the group’s existing social offering and bring its capabilities together across the network. The group also plans to make several senior appointments to its social team in the coming months.

Kotecha brings more than two decades of industry experience to the new position. He previously led social, digital, content and influence at Ogilvy UK before moving into leadership roles as CEO of Ogilvy Netherlands and EMEA Managing Director at Ogilvy.

In January, Kotecha joined Grey London as CEO, where he has led the agency through recent business wins including Synechron and Henkel.

Alongside his new group-wide social responsibilities, Kotecha will continue as CEO of Grey London. He will also work closely with Nicola Dodd, EMEA President of PR and UK Managing Director of PR, Social & Influence at Ogilvy, as the group develops its social strategy.
