MakeMyTrip has promoted Abhishek Bhasin to Vice President – Brand & App Performance Marketing. He shared the news of his elevation through a LinkedIn post.
Bhasin has been an integral part of MakeMyTrip’s marketing journey for over five years, playing a key role in shaping the brand’s growth and digital strategy.
He joined the company in 2019 as Senior Marketing Manager and was elevated in April 2021 to Associate Director – Brand, Growth, and Mobile App Marketing Lead. In this capacity, he led initiatives across brand equity, demand generation, and user acquisition using a 360-degree marketing approach. His responsibilities spanned TV campaigns, social media, ATL and digital initiatives, as well as app marketing tactics like Google UAC, Facebook ads, ASO, and affiliate channels. Under his leadership, his 10-member team delivered campaigns that drove strong double-digit growth in brand metrics.
In October 2022, Bhasin was promoted to Director – Brand, Emerging Businesses & App Marketing. In this role, he focused on expanding the platform’s reach by developing strategies for underrepresented consumer segments and enhancing app penetration. He aligned marketing efforts with both revenue growth and profitability, tailoring campaigns to the evolving needs of Indian travellers.
Before joining MakeMyTrip, Bhasin held the position of Marketing Manager at Pernod Ricard, where he managed the Royal Stag brand and led its category P&L and brand strategy from 2018 to 2019.
