Tejkarran Singh Bajaj has been promoted to Head of Originals and Senior Video President at Jio Studios, Reliance Industries Limited. He had previously worked for the company as Head of Originals. He started working for Jio Studios in 2018. On LinkedIn, he announced this.
As a seasoned industry professional, Bajaj has collaborated with companies such as Zee Entertainment, Maxus, NDTV, and others. Tejakarran served as Head of Original Content for Zee5 India at Zee Entertainment from 2017 to 2018 before joining Reliance Industries. Before that, from 2013 to 2017, he was employed by Maxus, where he held significant content-related roles. Before this, he served as a Creative Consultant from 2009 to 2013.
His accomplishments include developing content formats like Women of Worth for L’Oreal Paris and HDFC Life Youngstars, India’s first digital talent hunt for kids, and collaborating with The Viral Fever (TVF) to create branded web series and TVF Tripling with Tiago for Tata Motors. Tejkarran worked as a producer for NDTV from 2007 to 2009 before this. Prior to this, from 2005 to 2007, he worked as an assistant producer for Miditech. He worked as Aquarius Production Assistant Director from 2004 to 2005 before this. In 2001, he began working as a freelance graphic designer.
Bajaj had previously worked as a Creative Consultant for Endemol India, Miditech Pvt Ltd, and Essel Vision Productions, among other production companies. He helped produce non-fiction television programs in India, such as Survivor India and Bigg Boss Season 3. ‘NDTV Metronation Delhi’ was launched with his help, and he has produced over 600 episodes of content in a variety of genres.
Tejkarran is well-versed in a variety of fields, including integrated marketing communication, business strategy & development, consumer insights, digital media, creative direction, content strategy & development, and branded content. At Guru Jambheshwar University, he also completed a Bachelor of Mass Communication program.
