Google has unveiled Gemini 3.1 Pro, the latest upgrade to its flagship AI model, and is deploying it across its consumer, developer and enterprise ecosystems.
The new model builds on the Gemini 3 family and arrives shortly after the recent update to Gemini 3 Deep Think. According to Google, version 3.1 Pro delivers enhanced reasoning and problem-solving performance compared to its predecessor.
The company reported that Gemini 3.1 Pro achieved a score of 77.1% on ARC-AGI-2, a benchmark designed to evaluate a model’s ability to interpret and solve unfamiliar logical challenges. Google noted that this marks more than twice the reasoning capability of Gemini 3 Pro.
For developers, Gemini 3.1 Pro is available in preview via the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Google Antigravity and Android Studio. Enterprise customers can access the model through Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise. On the consumer side, the update is being introduced within the Gemini app and NotebookLM.
Google stated that the model is optimised for tasks demanding deeper reasoning, including synthesising complex information, generating structured outputs and addressing multifaceted queries.
Following the launch of Gemini 3 Pro in November, Google incorporated user feedback into subsequent refinements. The 3.1 Pro version is currently in preview, with broader availability planned at a later stage.
Within the Gemini app, higher usage limits are being extended to users subscribed to Google AI Pro and Ultra plans. On NotebookLM, access to the model is limited to Pro and Ultra subscribers. Developers and enterprise clients can explore the model through preview access across supported platforms.
