Burson Appoints Taj Reid as Global Chief Creative Officer

Burson, the global communications leader built to create value for clients through reputation, has announced that Taj Reid will become Global Chief Creative Officer on January 8, 2025. Reid has extensive experience combining technology, design, and creativity to produce campaigns that have an impact on a variety of industries. Reid succeeds Simon Shaw, who leaves the agency at the end of the year.

Reid’s past endeavors

Reid, who most recently served as the U.S. Chief Creative Officer and Global Chief Experience Officer, comes to Burson from Edelman, where he spent five years. Prior to that, he led a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and content strategists creating digital products and community experiences for Mixed Reality during his two years as Principal Creative Director at Microsoft. In 2022, he was also named to the ADWEEK 50.

Reid’s departure from DJE Holdings comes after co-chief creative officers Mattias and Stefan Ronge and Edelman executive global creative director Jordan Atlas left the company following significant victories for Edelman at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. Earlier this year, Atlas opened his own fractional agency, My Friend Billy, and in July, the Ronge brothers opened their own consultancy, Earned Identity.
