Anuj Rathi has been named as the new CEO of Flipkart’s Cleartrip travel booking division. He is going to succeed Ayyappan R. Since Ayyappan R., a former Flipkart executive, departed, Cleartrip has been without a CEO. Rathi is coming back to Flipkart after a 12-year absence. He will be working for the Walmart-owned company for the second time. He was a Product Manager at Flipkart for two years, from 2010 to 2012. He was previously the chief marketing and product officer of the fintech company Jupiter.

Rathi’s appointment coincides with the online retailer’s ongoing senior leadership turnover. Since the departure of Ayyappan R, a seasoned Flipkart employee, Cleartrip has been operating without a chief executive. Aditya Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), left after him. Among the SVPs who left the company were Amitesh Jha, who oversees the marketplace and categories; Dheeraj A, who leads fintech and payments; and Bharath Ram, who leads growth and retention.
