Stagwell-owned Anomaly has named Toby Allen as Chief Creative Officer. This calculated action signifies a dramatic change in the agency’s innovation and customer involvement philosophy. He joins Partner and CEO Camilla Harrison to lead the office’s next phase of development and expansion, succeeding Joe Corcoran, who departs the agency after nine years.
Anomaly wants to improve its service offerings and rethink its creative strategies with Allen at the forefront. This change in leadership has the potential to spur creative projects that appeal to both audiences and clients, raising the bar for the marketing sector. Toby has a proven track record of delivering business impact through culture-forward work and has been in charge of some of the most awarded campaigns in recent years.
Allen comes from T&Pm, established in March 2024, to Anomaly. He was in charge of promoting inclusivity, innovation, and integration throughout T&Pm’s 100-person UK creative practice as Partner & Chief Creative Officer-UK. Toby Allen worked for AMV BBDO for more than nine years before joining T&Pm. His most recent position was Deputy ECD at AMV BBDO. He worked for Wieden + Kennedy London after starting his career at BBH London.
Diageo, Revolut, Cancer Research UK, and the newly-won Women’s Professional Leagues are among Anomaly’s clients.
CEO Harrison says,
“Toby brings an unparalleled track record of work that truly impacts culture. And from collaborating with design through to fostering talent, he has a progressive mindset and the perfect blend of skills to lead our next chapter.”
Global CEO Karina Wilsher says,
“Toby has an incredible understanding of the power of ‘creativity’ to solve business problems, which is fundamental for success at Anomaly. We need to move forward again in London, and Toby has the drive, conviction and vision required to create work worthy of ‘an anomaly’.”
