Mumbai / New Delhi, [18th February, 2026] — In a defining move, Abundantia Entertainment, India’s leading film and content studio, under its Artificial Intelligence-powered storytelling division aiON, today announced a strategic partnership with global AI video technology leader, invideo, to launch AI-driven film production studio. The partnership is backed by an investment of ₹100 crores, making this the largest structured commitment to AI-driven filmmaking in India to date.
The partnership, built on the back of Abundantia’s proven creative & film-making ecosystem and boosted by invideo’s advanced generative-video technology to reimagine how films are conceptualized, developed and produced, will leverage the development & production corpus towards a slate of 5 AI-driven films over the next 3 years. The two companies have joined forces with a synergistic and aligned perspective on how AI can empower and amplify human imagination and creativity to produce unique and entertaining film experiences for a global audience.
The announcement was made at the India AI Film Festival (IAFF) held at the historic Qutb Minar, New Delhi, hosted by invideo and sponsored by Nvidia, on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026. The alliance is underway in building the slate with filmmakers, writers and highly specialized visual-tech artists & engineers.
Vikram Malhotra, Founder & CEO, Abundantia Entertainment, said, “AI in film-making is now real! Every major leap in cinema — from sound to colour to digital — has expanded storytelling possibility. AI represents the next inflection point. With Abundantia aiON, we are building a future where AI strengthens and amplifies the filmmaker’s voice, not substitutes it. Our partnership with invideo allows us to design a future-facing creative studio that blends human imagination, authorship and intelligence to create stories that are both emotionally resonant and technologically path-breaking. I am very excited at the unique capabilities and scale that Sanket and the brilliant team at invideo possess and look forward to taking the first step towards the future of film-making.”
Sanket Shah, Founder & CEO, invideo, added, “At invideo our mission has always been to democratize high-quality video creation through AI. Partnering with a top-notch studio like Abundantia Entertainment enables us to extend this capability into the world of high-quality filmmaking by building tools and workflows that allow creators to move from idea to cinematic expression faster and more freely than ever before. This is about accelerating and enhancing creativity, not just automating it.”
Backed by global investors Tiger Global and Peak XV (formerly Sequoia Capital India), invideo brings deep expertise in generative video creation, enabling users to transform ideas into fully realized visual narratives using AI-powered workflows. The company recently announced a strategic collaboration with Google Cloud to build a new generation of AI-powered filmmaking tools, unveiling enterprise-grade production pipelines designed for studios, broadcasters, ad agencies, and large production houses seeking to produce long-form, studio-quality films using artificial intelligence.
The collaboration builds on Abundantia’s continued focus on future-facing storytelling through aiON, its dedicated AI division focused on integrating emerging technologies into cinematic workflows. The studio is partnering in developing India’s first AI generated Hindi feature film, Chiranjeevi Hanuman, set to release in 2026 and has announced its next AI-powered feature film – Jai Santoshi Mata – one of several exciting films in its line-up at Abundantia aiON.
