Dabur India’s Global Chief Executive Officer, Mohit Malhotra, will step down from his position on November 13, 2026, bringing an end to an association spanning more than three decades. He is set to take up a leadership role overseas from November 16, 2026.
In a regulatory filing dated November 4, Dabur confirmed Malhotra’s exit and outlined changes to its leadership structure, particularly for its India operations. The company has not yet announced who will succeed him as Global CEO.
As part of the leadership transition, Dabur has appointed Herjit Singh Bhalla, the current CEO of its India business, as an Additional Director and Whole-time Director, effective November 14, 2026. The appointment is for a five-year term, subject to the necessary approvals.
Bhalla will continue to lead Dabur’s India business, overseeing its operations and growth priorities while representing the company in its key domestic market.
Malhotra’s departure concludes a career of more than 30 years at Dabur. He began his journey with the company as a management trainee and gradually moved into senior leadership roles before taking charge as Global CEO. Under his leadership, Dabur grew from a business generating approximately Rs 250 crore in revenue into a multinational FMCG organisation with revenues exceeding Rs 13,000 crore and a presence across more than 100 countries.
Meanwhile, P D Narang, who currently serves as a Whole-time Director, will continue to offer strategic direction across the Dabur Group, including its international businesses. Having joined the company in 1983, Narang brings more than four decades of experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
Bhalla, who joined Dabur earlier in 2026, brings over 25 years of experience in the consumer goods sector and international markets. Prior to joining Dabur, he spent more than 16 years with Unilever, handling leadership responsibilities across India and international markets. He later held senior roles at The Hershey Company and METRO Cash & Carry India.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Delhi University and an MBA from the Management Development Institute, Gurugram.
In another leadership change, Ashok Kumar Jain, Executive Vice President (Finance), Group Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, is scheduled to retire on November 30, 2026. Following his retirement, Ankush Jain, Dabur’s Chief Financial Officer, will assume the additional responsibility of Compliance Officer from December 1, 2026.
The latest appointments and exits reflect Dabur’s ongoing leadership transition at the global level, while the company maintains continuity across its domestic and international business operations.
