Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has secured Adidas’ global media account, reportedly valued at approximately $512 million, following a competitive agency review, according to industry reports.
The global pitch reportedly featured Publicis Groupe, incumbent WPP, and Omnicom Media Group. WPP’s EssenceMediacom had managed the Adidas media business since 2018, after Mediacom originally won the mandate before becoming part of EssenceMediacom following the agencies’ merger in 2023.
Under the new partnership, the Adidas account will be serviced by PHD, Omnicom Media Group’s media agency network. PHD works with several leading global brands, including Volkswagen, Google, and 7-Eleven.
The appointment adds another major global client to PHD’s portfolio and strengthens Omnicom Media Group’s position in the international media agency landscape.
The reported account win comes shortly after PHD earned the Media Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for Uber Eats’ “Build Your Own Super Bowl” campaign, further highlighting the agency network’s recent creative and media planning success.
