Shazia Fazal Elevated To Head Of Affiliate Sales – South Asia At Warner Bros. Discovery

Shazia Fazal has been elevated to the role of Head of Affiliate Sales – South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery, marking nine years with the global media and entertainment powerhouse.

Announcing the milestone on LinkedIn, Fazal reflected on her journey: “If someone had told the young girl watching Warner Bros. content that she would one day help lead its distribution in India, she would have smiled but she may not have believed it. Nine years after joining Warner Bros. Discovery, here we are. On my 9th anniversary, I’ve been elevated to the role of Head of Affiliate – South Asia. If I were a scriptwriter, I truly couldn’t have written a better script.”

In her expanded leadership role, Fazal will steer affiliate partnerships and distribution strategy across South Asia, overseeing relationships that strengthen the company’s regional footprint.

Before this promotion, she served as Senior Director – DTH, Telecom and Digital Alliances, managing strategic partnerships across direct-to-home operators, telecom players, and digital platforms. Over the years, she has progressed through several key leadership roles including Director – DTH and Telecom Partnerships and Associate Director – DTH, first at Discovery Inc. and subsequently at Warner Bros. Discovery following the corporate merger.

Fazal began her journey with Discovery in 2017 and has since played an instrumental role in reinforcing the company’s distribution network in India. Prior to joining Discovery, she worked in business development at Sony Pictures Networks India and earlier held roles at West Coast Group and Marketing Solutions Private.
