Kapil Arora Appointed Group CEO Of Ogilvy Indonesia

Kapil Arora has assumed charge as Group Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy Indonesia, marking a key leadership development in his more than 25-year career in advertising and marketing communications. He steps into the role after serving as Chief Operating Officer since January 2024, during which he played a critical role in strengthening the agency’s strategic and operational momentum in the Indonesian market.

Arora’s appointment reflects Ogilvy’s confidence in his ability to lead across diverse markets and drive sustained business growth. His return to a Group CEO role within the Ogilvy network is also a significant milestone, given his long-standing association with the agency spanning nearly two decades.

Prior to joining Ogilvy Indonesia, Arora was Co-Chairman and CEO at 82.5 Communications between August 2019 and January 2024, where he steered strategic expansion and creative excellence. Before that, he served as President of Ogilvy Group Companies, North, from February 2013 to August 2019, overseeing multi-market operations and strengthening client relationships across Northern India.

Arora first joined Ogilvy in 2004 as President and Country Head of Team Vodafone, a position he held for close to nine years. During this period, he built one of the network’s most successful dedicated client teams, delivering consistently impactful and award-winning work.

In his new role as Group CEO, Arora will focus on accelerating growth, nurturing creative leadership, and delivering integrated solutions for clients in Indonesia, one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic advertising markets. His elevation from COO to Group CEO within a year highlights his immediate impact and Ogilvy’s trust in his vision for the agency’s future.
