Reliance Industries Limited has appointed Shashwat M. as Vice President, strengthening its leadership bench as the conglomerate accelerates its ambitions in the renewable energy and new mobility space. In his new role, Shashwat will work closely with the senior leadership team on high-impact strategic initiatives and is currently leading the go-to-market strategy for Reliance’s entry into next-generation energy solutions, including electric vehicles, hydrogen mobility, battery materials, and advanced cell manufacturing.
Shashwat has been associated with Reliance for several years, during which he has held key leadership positions such as Senior General Manager and General Manager – Strategy & Planning. In these roles, he played a critical part in shaping long-term business strategies, evaluating growth opportunities, and driving execution across complex, large-scale initiatives.
Before joining Reliance, Shashwat built a strong foundation in strategy and transaction advisory at Analysys Mason, where he led projects across South Asia, the Middle East, and the APAC region. His earlier professional experience also includes roles at EXL, Standard Chartered, and ITC Limited, giving him exposure across consulting, financial services, and consumer businesses.
Shashwat’s appointment reflects Reliance Industries’ focus on combining strategic depth with execution excellence as it builds future-ready businesses in clean energy and sustainable mobility.
