Alvarez & Marsal has elevated Lucky Agarwal to the position of Managing Director, based in Chicago, Illinois, marking the latest step in his progressive leadership journey at the firm. Agarwal has steadily advanced through senior roles, most recently serving as Senior Director within Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (M&A) practice.
He shared the announcement on Linkedin, stating “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal!
Over the years, he has also held roles as Director and Manager in the firm’s Private Equity Services (M&A) division, where he partnered with private equity sponsors and corporate clients on complex mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, integrations, and post-deal value creation initiatives spanning multiple regions.
Before joining Alvarez & Marsal, Agarwal was associated with PwC as a Senior Associate in M&A Advisory and Management Consulting. In this role, he led transaction diligence, separation, and standalone readiness programmes, working closely with C-suite executives. His earlier professional experience includes a tenure at Accenture, where he contributed to large-scale transformation and analytics programmes for global clients, including DuPont, as well as a strategy internship at Owens Corning.
Agarwal holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. During his time there, he was recognised for both academic achievement and leadership contributions.
