Parthasarathy M A Retires From WPP Media After 17 Years

Parthasarathy M A, Chief Strategy Officer at GroupM—now operating as WPP Media—has announced his retirement, marking the end of a significant chapter in his professional journey.

In his farewell note, he shared, “After 17 lovely years with WPP Media (across Mindshare, GroupM & WPP Media), I have chosen to retire and take a break.”

During his tenure, Parthasarathy led the strategy and consulting function for GroupM across India and South Asia, collaborating closely with strategic leaders throughout the network’s agencies. Known widely as “Maps,” he has been an integral part of the organisation’s strategic direction and transformation.

Maps joined GroupM in 2009 as the Leader of Business Planning for Mindshare South Asia. Over the years, he took on expanded responsibilities and was elevated to Chief Strategy Officer for WPP Media South Asia in 2022. He officially exited the network on 28 November.

His retirement concludes a 17-year legacy defined by strategic leadership, deep market insight, and a pivotal role in shaping GroupM/WPP Media’s strategic capabilities across the region.
