H&M Appoints IPG Mediabrands as Media Agency of Record Across Asia

Global fashion giant H&M has appointed IPG Mediabrands as its Media Agency of Record across key Asian markets, following a highly competitive multi-market pitch. The partnership will be led by Team Mavericks, IPG Mediabrands’ specialist unit, and will cover Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines—where IPG Mediabrands was already incumbent.

This appointment marks the first time H&M has centralized its media operations across this region under one agency network. The move further strengthens H&M’s existing global relationship with IPG Mediabrands, which also manages its media duties in Latin America and Eastern Europe.

“We are absolutely thrilled that the iconic fashion brand H&M has selected IPG Mediabrands Team Mavericks as their trusted media agency partner across Asia,” said Leigh Terry, CEO, IPG Mediabrands APAC. “Throughout the selection process, we found strong alignment with H&M’s collaborative approach and their mission to inspire and engage consumers with creativity and innovation.”

“As H&M continues to evolve as a global fashion brand with strong local relevance, it’s essential that we partner with a media agency that shares our values of creativity, innovation, and collaboration,” said Elin Sandberg, Head of Marketing, H&M Region East Asia. “Team Mavericks demonstrated an exceptional understanding of our brand’s purpose and ambition across diverse Asian markets, and we’re excited to collaborate with them to deepen connections with our customers.”

Effective 1 December 2025, IPG Mediabrands Team Mavericks will take charge of H&M’s integrated media strategy and planning across the six markets, driving impactful, data-led, and locally resonant campaigns to fuel brand growth across Asia.
