Global creative innovation company R/GA has announced the appointment of internationally acclaimed designer Ren Rigby as its first-ever Global Chief Brand Officer. This marks a significant milestone for R/GA as it continues to evolve its identity and amplify its positioning as an independent creative powerhouse.
Rigby rejoins R/GA from Proto, the design and innovation consultancy they co-founded, bringing with them decades of expertise in design, branding, and innovation. In their new role, Rigby will report directly to Tiffany Rolfe, Chair and Global Chief Creative Officer of R/GA, and will be responsible for evolving the R/GA brand identity, leading the branding of its new AI-driven products and blueprint ecosystem, while playing a strategic role in driving business growth for both R/GA and its clients.

Rigby brings over 23 years of global design and innovation experience, having previously co-founded R/GA’s Business Transformation practice and served as Global Head of Brand, where they led major projects for brands including Nike, Google, Shopify, and PepsiCo. Their career also includes key leadership roles at renowned agencies such as The Chase Creative Consultants, Pentagram London, Landor, True North, and Interbrand. Rigby is the former Chairman of the Australian Graphic Design Association and recipient of The Bill Bernbach Award for Creative Brilliance, DDB’s highest accolade.
This appointment is the latest in a series of strategic moves by R/GA following its transition to an independent, privately held company in partnership with private equity firm Truelink Capital. Since gaining independence, R/GA has invested heavily in talent, product innovation, partnerships, and acquisitions – most recently with the acquisition of AI system design studio Addition.
With Ren Rigby stepping into this newly created leadership role, R/GA reinforces its commitment to shaping the future of creativity, technology, and brand innovation in the new AI era.
