Vedanta Appoints Sonal Choithani as Group Chief Brand & Communications Officer

Vedanta Group has announced the appointment of Sonal Choithani as its Group Chief Brand & Communications Officer. This strategic appointment underscores the Group’s continued commitment to building a future-ready brand anchored in innovation, sustainability, and global leadership across critical sectors.

Sonal brings with her over 20 years of rich cross-industry experience in corporate communications, brand strategy, and stakeholder engagement, having worked across diverse sectors including finance, FMCG, renewable energy, and natural resources. Her deep understanding of integrated communication practices makes her ideally suited to steer Vedanta’s brand narrative during a pivotal phase of its transformation.

Before taking on this group-level role, Sonal served as Chief Brand & Communications Officer at Vedanta Limited for five years, and most recently held the same position at Hindustan Zinc, a key entity within the Vedanta Group.
