Itaru Otani has been officially appointed the new Chairman of the Yamaha Motor India Group by Yamaha Motor India. This calculated action demonstrates the company’s dedication to strengthening its position as the market leader in India.
Mr. Otani has worked for Yamaha Motor Company for more than thirty years, holding important leadership positions in international markets such as Australia, Brazil, and Japan. With experience in corporate strategy, marketing, and sales, he has continuously concentrated on motorcycle business operations, enhancing Yamaha’s standing globally. Otani was the Chief General Manager of Land Mobility Business Operations from Japan prior to taking on his current position. It is anticipated that his extensive industry knowledge and experience will play a key role in guiding Yamaha Motor India toward long-term expansion and innovation.
Otani hopes to use his global experience in his new role to advance Yamaha’s strategic goals, improve customer interaction, and fortify the company’s position in India.
