Nikon India has appointed 80dB Communications as its strategic public relations partner following a multi-agency selection process. The partnership will focus on strengthening the brand’s corporate and product communications while expanding its presence across India’s photography, filmmaking and technology communities.

Under the mandate, 80dB Communications will manage Nikon India’s corporate and brand reputation, earned media outreach, product communications, leadership profiling and creator engagement. The agency will also oversee media relations with photographers, filmmakers and technology publications, alongside reputation monitoring.

The collaboration will place a strong emphasis on Nikon India’s imaging portfolio, particularly its Z Series mirrorless cameras and technologies associated with RED digital cinema. Another key priority will be enhancing the visibility of Nikon India’s leadership and strengthening its engagement with the country’s growing creator economy.

Commenting on the partnership, Sajjan Kumar, Managing Director, Nikon India, said: “India’s imaging landscape is evolving rapidly, with video and cinematic storytelling opening up new possibilities for photographers, filmmakers and content creators. At Nikon India, we continue to build on our legacy in imaging by expanding our capabilities across the Z Series, while making advanced imaging technology more accessible to a wider creative community.

As the creator ecosystem grows, our focus remains on understanding its evolving needs and enabling creators to bring their vision to life. We look forward to working with 80dB Communications to strengthen our engagement with this dynamic community of creators and professionals, while also strengthening Nikon’s presence in India.”

Abhilasha Padhy, Co-founder and Joint Managing Director, 80dB Communications, said: “It is a privilege to partner with a brand as iconic as Nikon, one that has shaped how the world sees and tells stories for over a century. India’s creators are increasingly choosing video and cinematic formats, and we are excited to help bring Nikon’s innovation to the heart of those conversations.

Our focus will be on investing in the quality of storytelling, building trusted relationships with media and creators, and elevating Nikon India’s narrative as a leading voice in visual storytelling.”

The partnership comes as Nikon India looks to strengthen its engagement with photographers, filmmakers and digital creators, while reinforcing its position in the country’s evolving imaging and visual storytelling landscape.
