In a strategic move to solidify its leadership in the regional OTT space, Z5 (formerly ZEE5) has announced the elevation of Lloyd Xavier to the dual role of Business Head – Tamil & Malayalam and Senior Vice President – South Marketing.
Lloyd joined Z5 as Marketing Director in September 2021 and has been instrumental in driving impactful marketing campaigns across South Indian markets. In April 2023, he was promoted to Vice President – Marketing. His latest elevation underscores Z5’s commitment to strengthening its regional content strategy and accelerating growth in the southern markets.
In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Lloyd expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm:
“I’m humbled and thrilled to share that I’ve been promoted to Senior Vice President – Marketing and also entrusted with the additional responsibility of Business Head – Tamil & Malayalam at ZEE5.”
Lloyd’s tenure has seen the successful marketing of over 100 titles, significantly contributing to Z5’s increasing traction across South India. His portfolio includes widely acclaimed projects such as RRR, HanuMan, and Vikkatakavi in Telugu; Vikrant Rona, Max, and Ayyana Maane in Kannada; Ayali, Koose Munisamy Veerappan, Aayindham Vedham, and Vikram in Tamil; and Identity and MTV Nair Sir Manorathangal in Malayalam.

Prior to Z5, Lloyd served as AVP – Marketing at Arha Media and Broadcasting, and has held marketing roles at YuppTV Inc. and Network18 Media & Investments. He began his career as an Analyst at Deloitte in 2010.
This leadership update marks Z5’s ongoing efforts to deepen regional engagement and expand its content-led growth strategy in the ever-evolving South Indian OTT ecosystem.
