Wubba Lubba Dub Dub (WLDD), a digital marketing startup known for its meme-driven approach, has acquired Bengaluru-based Imagined Studio in a cash deal, according to insiders. The acquisition brings Imagined’s full team into WLDD, with its co-founder, Ritvik Varghese, transitioning into an advisory role.
WLDD co-founder and CEO Arihant Jain shared that Imagined’s AI, 3D, motion design, and video capabilities will enable WLDD to better support its US and global clients. Imagined, founded in 2024, offers 3D mockups, animated content, social graphics, and more, and has worked with brands like Zerodha, Simpl, and Armatrix.
This move follows WLDD’s recent acquisitions of sneaker brand 7–10 and media platform ScoopWhoop, part of a broader aim to deepen its understanding of D2C brand-building and marketing strategy. Jain previously explained these deals help WLDD “understand each and every aspect” of running such brands.
Launched in 2018 by Jain, Jaidev Kesti, and Vivekanand Kilari, WLDD has grown its creator community to over 10,000, including 3,000 meme makers, and has delivered more than 1,000 campaigns for over 120 brands, such as Disney, Spotify, and Sony Music. The startup raised $1.2 million in 2023 from Negen Capital and projects to surpass $10 million in revenue for FY25—up from ₹45 crore in FY24, with ₹4 crore in net profit.
This latest acquisition highlights WLDD’s ongoing journey from a viral marketing platform to a full-service creative agency, combining tech, content, and data to offer smart marketing solutions.
