WPP has deepened its partnership with The Wendy’s Company, with WPP Media being appointed as the brand’s media partner in the United States, its largest market.
The announcement was made by Cindy Rose, who described the development as a key milestone that builds upon Wendy’s long-standing creative relationship with VML.
“This is a pivotal moment,” Rose said, adding that the partnership reflects “a powerful endorsement of our vision for a new, more connected WPP – uniting our world-class creativity with media, data, and technology to help our clients win.”
The new mandate extends a 14-year creative collaboration between Wendy’s and VML, marking a shift toward a more integrated model that combines creative, media, data, and technology capabilities under one ecosystem.
Rose also emphasised the broader strategic value of the partnership, highlighting its potential to deliver more cohesive and engaging brand experiences. Referring to Wendy’s U.S. CMO, she noted that the move signals a “new era” for the brand as it aims to “move faster, show up smarter, and create more connected experiences for their fans.”
