WAVES OTT, the rapidly expanding digital entertainment platform from Prasar Bharati, has announced a strategic partnership with the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) to bring its extensive content catalogue to the RailOne app. RailOne serves as the Indian Railways’ official integrated passenger services platform, offering millions of users access to ticketing, real-time train information, onboard services and essential digital utilities in one place.
Through this integration, railway passengers across India will be able to stream a curated mix of WAVES OTT content directly within the RailOne ecosystem. With nearly 2.3 crore people travelling by train every day, this collaboration significantly widens the platform’s national footprint. Commuters will now have access to Live TV channels, Akashvani radio stations, films, short-format entertainment, documentaries, devotional shows and archival programming across 15+ regional languages.
The partnership will be supported by a nationwide promotional campaign to raise awareness and enhance the overall travel experience with enriching infotainment options.
Commenting on the development, Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO, Prasar Bharati, said, “This integration with RailOne is a significant milestone for WAVES OTT. RailOne connects millions of passengers daily, and bringing WAVES content to this platform will greatly enhance their digital experience during travel.”
This collaboration underscores Prasar Bharati’s dedication to delivering accessible, high-quality public-service content while strengthening WAVES OTT’s position as a truly national digital platform that now reaches India’s vast rail-traveling audience.
