Uber Elevates Balaji Krishnamurthy To Chief Financial Officer

Uber has promoted Balaji Krishnamurthy to the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective February 2026. The appointment follows more than six years with the company, during which he held multiple senior positions across strategic finance and investor relations.

Krishnamurthy shared the update through a LinkedIn post. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Strategic Finance & Investor Relations from January 2025 to February 2026 in San Francisco. Before that, he held leadership roles including VP, Strategic Finance – Mobility & Delivery (February 2024 to December 2024) and VP, Strategic Finance – Mobility (February 2023 to February 2024) in Toronto. Earlier, he spent over two years as Head of Investor Relations after beginning his Uber journey as Senior Manager, Investor Relations in San Francisco.

Alongside his responsibilities at Uber, Krishnamurthy has been a board member at Waabi since September 2024. Prior to joining Uber, he worked at Goldman Sachs as Vice President in Equity Research, focusing on US hardware and communications technology. Earlier in his career, he was a Research Analyst at Irevna and began his professional journey in wealth management at iTrust Financial Advisors in Gurugram.

With this promotion, Krishnamurthy joins Uber’s senior leadership team to support the company’s financial strategy and long-term growth.
