UAE AI Office and Google Launch “AI for All” Initiative to Build Nationwide AI Literacy

Dubai, UAE – 30th October 2025: The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, in collaboration with Google, has officially launched “AI for All,” a landmark initiative unveiled as part of the UAE Coding Day 2025 celebrations under the banner “UAE Codes 2025.”

The initiative is designed to empower individuals across the UAE with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an AI-driven future. Through a series of comprehensive training programs, “AI for All” will equip students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and creators from all walks of life with the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, ensuring inclusive access to future-ready digital capabilities. The program will be implemented nationwide throughout 2026.

Empowering the Nation with AI Skills

According to a 2025 report by Public First, generative AI could add up to AED 298 billion to the UAE economy — highlighting both the transformative potential of AI and the urgent need for widespread skills development.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized that the collaboration with Google reflects the UAE Government’s future-focused strategy:

“Through such collaborations, the UAE aims to empower society with future skills, support the growth of an advanced digital economy, and reaffirm its vision of becoming a global hub for innovation and emerging technologies,”

Google’s Commitment to Inclusive AI Access

Anthony Nakache, Managing Director, Google MENA, added:

“Our collaboration with the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office  on the “AI for All Initiative” is built on a shared belief –  AI’s benefits must be accessible to all. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to helping more people to leverage AI and make the most of the technology.”

“By providing students with our most advanced Gemini models, empowering SMBs with growth tools, and supporting teachers and journalists, we are helping to build a future where every member of the community can participate safely and confidently in the AI economy.” Nakache added.

Nakache highlighted that Google is providing students with free access to Gemini 2.5, the company’s most advanced AI model, for a full year. In addition, Google will offer workshops and resources designed to enhance creative, educational, and entrepreneurial use of AI.

Building a Responsible AI-Ready Community

As part of “AI for All,” educational programs will focus on teaching participants how to use AI responsibly — including prompt writing, generative creativity, AI-driven productivity, and privacy awareness.

A dedicated training series will also support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping them leverage AI tools to boost efficiency, innovation, and business growth.

The initiative includes a nationwide awareness campaign throughout 2026, encouraging UAE residents to complete AI literacy modules and engage with Google’s AI ecosystem, including Gemini and other generative AI technologies.

Supporting the UAE Vision 2031 for an AI-Powered Future

Aligned with the UAE Government’s Vision 2031 to become a global AI destination, the “AI for All” initiative is part of Google’s broader MENA AI Opportunity Initiative, which aims to deliver AI education, research funding, and product access across the Middle East and North Africa by 2027.

Google’s Arabic learning platform “Maharat min Google,” launched in 2018, continues to play a pivotal role in this mission. It has already trained over 430,000 people in the UAE in digital and AI literacy, underscoring the shared vision of both partners to create a digitally empowered society.
