Third Hemisphere Wins Mandate For 129Knots’ APAC Communications

Third Hemisphere, a marketing, PR, and public affairs agency, has expanded its fintech portfolio in the Asia-Pacific region by securing the communications mandate for 129Knots, a blockchain-driven trade finance innovator. Under this partnership, Third Hemisphere will oversee a wide spectrum of strategic communications initiatives, including regulatory announcements, thought leadership programs, and market positioning across the region’s tightly regulated fintech landscape.

The agency’s appointment reflects its growing presence in financial services, building on its long-standing work with major Australian fintech players such as digital lender MONEYME, pioneering neobank Volt, and cryptocurrency exchange OKX Australia.

“These wins represent our natural evolution in financial services communications. We’ve spent a decade helping Australian fintech pioneers establish credibility and drive growth – from digital lenders to cryptocurrency platforms to Islamic finance providers,” said Hannah Moreno, founder and CEO of Third Hemisphere.

“Now we’re applying that expertise across Singapore’s sophisticated financial ecosystem – from digital wholesale banking to blockchain trade finance to energy trading innovation. Each client requires communications partners who understand not just the technology, but the regulatory frameworks and stakeholder dynamics that determine success in these markets,” she added.

129Knots specializes in global supply chain finance using blockchain infrastructure, enabling enhanced trade audit processes, precise credit risk evaluation, and programmable money solutions across key sectors such as marine energy, telecommunications, and energy transition.

The company entered the Singapore market earlier this year with a $10 million investment led by Sing Fuels. With a $500 million pipeline and a focus on real-world asset origination-to-distribution (OTD) technology, 129Knots is poised to reshape the future of blockchain-enabled trade finance.
