Tata Consumer Products Appoints Rajesh Gopal as Global Chief Digital Officer

Tata Consumer Products has named Rajesh Gopal as its new Global Chief Digital Officer. In this role, he will lead the company’s global digital strategy, accelerating transformation and innovation in the digital landscape.

Gopal brings over 20 years of experience in digital and technology leadership. Before joining Tata Consumer Products, he served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for APAC at Kimberly-Clark. His extensive career spans leadership roles at leading global organizations, beginning as a Project Manager at Federal Mogul, followed by positions at i2 Technologies and Unilever, where he advanced to Global Platform Director for Finance and Procurement, overseeing technology solutions across 150+ countries.

At L’Oréal, Gopal held roles as CIO and Cluster CIO for South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, spearheading digital partnerships and business model transformations. He played a key role in e-commerce expansion, social commerce, traditional trade digitization, and direct-to-consumer enhancements, particularly in response to evolving market dynamics post-COVID-19.

In his most recent role as Chief Information and Digital Officer at ITC, Gopal drove large-scale digital transformation across multiple business verticals, further establishing his expertise in digital leadership.

Additionally, Sunil Alaric D’Souza has been reappointed as Managing Director & CEO of Tata Global Beverages for another five-year term, continuing to guide the company’s growth.
