Times Network Onboards Varun Kohli as COO for News Broadcasting Business
Chief Operating Officer for News Broadcasting Business Varun Kohli joins the Times Network, a prominent media organization. He will work closely with N Subramaniam, Executive Director and Group CEO, Times Group Non-Publishing Business, and report to the Managing Director’s office.
Varun Kohli joins Times Network as COO for News Broadcasting Business
Varun is a seasoned professional with around thirty years of leadership experience. He has a lengthy and illustrious media career. Varun joins Times Network with extensive P&L and broadcasting industry operations management experience. Known by many as the “Turnaround Man,” he has established multiple profitable media brands and successfully steered numerous others toward success. For his former employer, iTV Network, he played a key role in the beginning and running of multiple seasons of Pro Wrestling League and Big Bout Boxing League. Additionally, he is credited with turning around several businesses through the creation of a strategic roadmap and thorough benchmarking. Varun approaches problems analytically and has experience with start-ups, challenger brands, and legacy brands.
Varun’s previous endeavors
Varun is also recognized for having created a strategic roadmap and thorough benchmarking, which allowed for the transformation of multiple businesses. His previous positions include Group CEO of iTV Network, where he successfully oversaw ten channels, two publications, and the company’s digital initiatives for more than eight years. In the past, he has held senior leadership positions with Network18, HT Media Ltd., Amar Ujala Prakadhan, and other prestigious media companies. His most recent position was CEO and Director of Bharat Express.
