Durex Renews Creative Duties with Havas Worldwide
Reckitt Benckiser Group (RB), a consumer health and hygiene giant, has renewed creative duties for its condom brand Durex in India after a competitive multi-agency pitch. The brand’s online presence is the primary focus of the winning mandate.
Havas Worldwide retains creative duties for Durex
As previously reported by Campaign India, incumbent Havas Worldwide and some of the biggest agencies in the country—Ogilvy India, Leo Burnett India, and FCB India—participated in the pitch with the goal of keeping the business. The participating agencies were required to present their ideas in person during the offline portion of the process. Since 2014, Havas Worldwide has been a part of Reckitt’s roster.
Durex works with a number of international partners in the media and creative industries. This includes continuing collaborations with VaynerMedia, Durian in Hong Kong, Havas, and their creative agency BLKJ Havas, situated in Singapore. In 2023, Durex gave McCann and its sister company, MRM, the worldwide media brief for the US and Europe. Known for its condoms and personal lubricants, Durex was founded in 1929 and is a division of Reckitt Benckiser, a British multinational with its headquarters located in Slough, United Kingdom. The Durex product line was initially introduced in India in 1997.
