EssenceMediacom appoints Vivek Das as Managing Partner, MFG (Google) Lead – India & South-East Asia
10th June 2024, Mumbai: EssenceMediacom, GroupM’s newest media agency, today announced the appointment of Vivek Das as the new Managing Partner and MFG (Google) Lead for India and Southeast Asia.
Vivek takes over from Vinish Mathews, who is now Chief Strategy Officer at Mindshare. Vivek, with over 21 years of experience in digital and integrated marketing, has held prominent positions at WPP and Omnicom Media Group. He has successfully managed high-profile clients such as Airtel, Nokia, Ford, Disney Star, PepsiCo, and Hindustan Unilever. In his last role at GroupM’s Mindshare, he led the consulting, data, analytics, and technology practice, earning numerous accolades along the way.
In addition to his professional achievements, he is a mentor to early-stage founders and an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

iProspect Onboards Garima Bijlani as Managing Partner – North
Garima Bijlani has joined iProspect, a global digital-first media agency by dentsu, as a managing partner. The announcement was posted by Bijlani on her LinkedIn profile.
She joins the agency after working for the previous two years as a digital partner at Neo Media World. She has fifteen years of experience and has worked for Lodestar Universal, FCB Ulka, Isobar, and IPG Media Brands.
As an account supervisor for Reprise Media, Bijlani began her professional career in 2013.

VML Names Jaibeer Ahmad As Managing Partner – North
Jaibeer Ahmad has joined VML, a branding, customer experience, and commerce agency, as Managing Partner – North. He will oversee the agency’s operations in Delhi. Jaibeer will report directly to Babita Baruah. He was the Chief Transformation and Growth Officer at Havas India before this.

Ahmad has over 23 years of experience in the advertising field. He previously spent six years working for Wunderman Thompson (now VML). Ahmad began his professional career with R K Swamy BBDO, working on brands like Educare and Dabur. In the past, he worked with organizations like J. Walter Thompson, Rediffusion – Y&R, Ogilvy India, Cheil India, Lowe Lintas, and Draft FCB Ulka.
Ahmad’s previous accomplishments
He oversaw the Saatchi & Saatchi Delhi brand and contributed to the agency’s revival while he was employed there. In less than two years, he helped the business grow by more than 400% and brought in six new clients. He introduced OLX.in with one of the most aggressive campaigns in the industry to date. Among the major brands he worked on at the agency were HCL’s tablet account, Carlsberg Beer, Wave Infratech, OLX, and Springwel Mattress. He has also worked on brands such as Whirlpool, Nestle, SABMiller, and All Out. His goal at Saatchi & Saatchi was to expand the company’s Delhi clientele.
