Sony Pictures Networks India Restructures Leadership

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced a comprehensive leadership restructuring to strengthen integration between its digital and linear businesses and accelerate growth in a highly competitive television landscape. The changes, effective 24 February 2026, are designed to create a more nimble organisational structure while expanding responsibilities for key executives across clusters.

As part of the realignment, Rohit Sinha, who currently oversees the Sports Cluster, Channel YAY! and Agency Relationships, will now also lead Pay Movies & Infotainment. He will continue to report to Akshay Agrawal, Head of Linear Ad Sales, in his expanded role as Cluster Head – Sports, Kids, Pay Movies & Infotainment and Agency Relationships.

Vijay Chabbria has been appointed National Head – Pay Movies & Infotainment and will report to Rohit Sinha. Regional leaders Shashank Krishnan (West), Sanchit Kapur (North) and Amit Kumar Prasad (South, along with Channel YAY!) will now report to Chabbria.

Anubhav Gogla has taken on a broader mandate as Cluster Head – SET & SAB (North, South & East), Aath and Government Business. In this role, he will supervise these regions and Channel Aath while continuing to report to Akshay Agrawal.

Mrityunjay Singh has expanded his responsibilities beyond West Hindi GEC to include Channel Marathi, Upcountry markets, and Travel & Tourism. He now serves as Cluster Head – SET & SAB (West) & Marathi, reporting to Akshay Agrawal.

Vivek Mathur remains National Head – FTA, with Karishma Chabria (West), Nakul Anand (North) and Sanjeeva Kulkarni (South) reporting to him as Regional Heads.

Meanwhile, senior executives Arpit Shah (Strategic Planning & Insights and Brand Solutions), Geeta Prakash Rao (Operations & Receivables Management), Ruchi Vidhani (South Hindi GEC), Swati Gosain and Anant Nigam (North Hindi GEC), along with the East team, will continue in their current roles and reporting structures.

The restructuring comes at a time when SPNI is adapting to evolving audience consumption patterns, intensifying OTT competition and growing demand for regional content. By broadening leadership mandates and leveraging experienced internal talent, the network aims to strengthen alignment across its portfolio and position itself for sustained growth in India’s dynamic media market.
