Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Gaurav Laghate as its new Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communications. In this leadership role, he will be responsible for driving SPNI’s communications strategy, strengthening the company’s corporate reputation, and deepening stakeholder engagement across all business verticals. He will report directly to Gaurav Banerjee, Managing Director & CEO, SPNI.
With more than 17 years of experience in journalism, Gaurav Laghate brings in-depth knowledge of the media and entertainment sector along with strong strategic insights. Prior to joining SPNI, he served as Senior Editor and Head of the Consumer Bureau at Mint, where he extensively covered the media and entertainment industry, including linear and OTT platforms, regulatory developments, and the advertising ecosystem.
Throughout his journalism career, Laghate has earned recognition for his analytical accuracy, impactful storytelling, and strong network within the media ecosystem. His transition into corporate communications is expected to add fresh perspective to SPNI’s narrative-building and stakeholder outreach efforts.
