Shubhranshu Singh Appointed to Inaugural Board of Effie LIONS Foundation

Veteran marketing leader Shubhranshu Singh has been named to the first-ever board of the Effie LIONS Foundation, a new global initiative formed to elevate and expand access to marketing education. Representing the Asia Pacific region, Singh will play a pivotal role in shaping global strategies to foster the next generation of marketing professionals.

The Effie LIONS Foundation is a nonprofit venture launched by Effie Worldwide in collaboration with LIONS, the organizers of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Headquartered in New York, the foundation focuses on improving opportunities in marketing for underrepresented communities across the globe.

As part of the board, Singh will contribute to shaping initiatives aimed at discovering and mentoring emerging talent, with a focus on South Asia. He will also participate in two working committees within the foundation. The board is set to convene twice annually — once in January in either New York or London, and again during the Cannes Lions Festival in June.

Singh currently serves as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles. Over the past two decades, he has held senior leadership positions at some of the world’s most respected brands, including Royal Enfield, Unilever, Diageo, Visa, and Star India. At Tata Motors, his leadership has been instrumental in redefining the company’s brand image both in India and abroad.

Beyond his corporate work, Singh is actively engaged with the global marketing community. He has served as a juror and speaker at high-profile industry forums such as the Effies Global and APAC, MMA Global, and the Asia-Pacific 40 Under 40 Awards. In 2024, he was part of the managing committee at The Advertising Club, Mumbai.

His creative leadership has been recognized with honors from the National Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, D&AD, IAMAI, and the Emvies. Singh has also played an influential role in the growth of Indian sports leagues like the Pro Kabaddi League and Indian Super League, and has worked closely with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in an advisory role.

In addition, Singh contributes to the social sector as a member of the advisory board at CEQUIN, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering marginalized women and promoting gender equity.
