Shalimar Paints, one of India’s most iconic and longstanding paint brands with a legacy of over 120 years, has announced the appointment of Mr. Kuldip Raina as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 10, 2025. His term will run until April 9, 2028, subject to shareholder approval. This leadership transition marks a significant chapter in Shalimar Paints’ journey, as the brand embraces a fresh vision to drive innovation, enhance customer experience, and power its next phase of growth.
Mr. Raina brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent over three decades across the paints, FMCG, consumer goods, and retail sectors. Since joining Shalimar Paints in May 2022 as Director – Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Sourcing, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s transformation. In his new role as MD & CEO, he aims to deepen the company’s connection with modern consumers, accelerate innovation, and lead with a customer-first mindset — all while preserving the brand’s trusted heritage.
Previously, Mr. Raina served as CEO of Nerofix Private Limited, a Kansai Nerolac Paints Group company, where he successfully established the brand in the adhesives and construction chemicals space. His career spans leadership roles at Kansai Nerolac Paints, Jubilant Industries, Arvind Brands, and ITC Limited, where he was known for strategic innovation, team building, and growth leadership.
Commenting on his new role, Mr. Raina said,
