Publicis Groupe Appoints Naomi Michael As Chief Communications Officer APAC

Publicis Groupe has named Naomi Michael as Chief Communications Officer for Asia-Pacific (APAC), a newly created leadership role that will oversee the Groupe’s regional communications strategy across its diverse markets.

In this position, Naomi will lead strategic communications initiatives across the APAC region, supporting the organisation’s capabilities and strengthening its messaging in one of its most dynamic markets. Based in Singapore, she will report to Jane Lin-Baden.

Naomi joins the company from Omnicom Media Group, where she recently became part of the APAC leadership team as Head of Brand Marketing. Prior to that, she served for nine years as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at IPG Mediabrands.

The creation of this role reflects Publicis Groupe APAC’s focus on strengthening its communications function as it continues to position itself as a partner in business transformation. The Groupe integrates creativity, media, data, technology, and strategy through its “Power of One” model.

With more than two decades of experience in marketing and communications, Naomi brings extensive international expertise across Asia-Pacific, Australia, and the United Kingdom. She has worked across corporate organisations and media networks, building integrated marketing strategies, strengthening brand reputation, and shaping cohesive narratives for multi-market businesses.

Earlier in her career, Naomi held roles at Zenith in London, The Walt Disney Company, and The Financial Times. She also held senior agency leadership roles across Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore within the Interpublic Group and Omnicom networks.

Recognised for her industry impact, Naomi has been named among Campaign Asia’s Women to Watch and has received multiple awards for leading high-impact brand and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Beyond her corporate career, she actively supports initiatives promoting leadership and inclusion. Naomi is a founding executive council member of Pass Her The Mic, an Asia-led movement aimed at amplifying women’s voices globally. She also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity International and serves on the Myanmar chapter board of Pencils for Kids, which works to improve access to education for children in underserved communities.

Speaking about the appointment, Jane Lin-Baden said: “Naomi is a leader with warmth and conviction who understands that communications play a fundamental role in building belief, alignment and momentum across a region as diverse as ours.

“With her regional experience and collaborative approach, she will be a crucial partner as we continue to grow clients’ brands and business, launch proprietary solutions created by and for our APAC community, and bring positive impact to the communities where we operate. I’m delighted to welcome her to our APAC leadership team.”

Naomi Michael added: “I’ve been impressed by the strength and maturity of the Publicis Groupe business model. Having invested ahead of the curve into AI, data, and real transformation at scale, their clarity of vision has translated into a powerful engine that consistently achieves undeniable results.

“The creation of this role reflects both the scale of growth within the APAC region, and the ambition for what comes next. I’m so thrilled to join the leadership team in APAC at such a defining moment, as we celebrate 100 years of Publicis Groupe, and help to shape the next century of transformation.”

Her appointment will take effect on March 9, 2026.
