Pernod Ricard India Appoints Debasree Dasgupta as Chief Marketing Officer and Global Business Development Head

Pernod Ricard India has announced the appointment of Debasree Dasgupta as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Head of Global Business Development, effective November 1, 2025.

Dasgupta succeeds Kartik Mohindra, who was named Managing Director for India at William Grant & Sons earlier this year, effective September 30.

A seasoned marketing leader with nearly two decades of experience across the consumer goods and beverages sectors, Dasgupta brings extensive expertise in building global brands and leading diverse teams. Most recently, she served as Global Vice-President for Absolut at Pernod Ricard, a role she has held since 2023.

Prior to this, she spent over three years with PepsiCo as Marketing Director for Beverages in the UK and Ireland, where she managed portfolios spanning carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, and ready-to-drink teas. During her tenure, she successfully navigated the brands through a rapidly evolving, health-conscious marketplace.

Dasgupta’s career also includes senior roles at Reckitt (formerly Reckitt Benckiser) and Unilever, where she managed multicultural teams across Asia and Europe, handling categories from hygiene to personal care. She began her professional journey as a Brand Manager with Titan Company, before moving to Unilever, where she rose to the role of Senior Brand Manager for Lakmé.

With her deep cross-sector experience and international leadership, Debasree Dasgupta is set to drive Pernod Ricard India’s next phase of growth in both marketing excellence and global business development, further strengthening the company’s position in the dynamic Indian and international markets.
