Ogilvy Singapore Elevates Sharon Ooi to Chief Talent Officer for Singapore & Malaysia

Ogilvy Singapore has announced the promotion of Sharon Ooi to Chief Talent Officer, Singapore & Malaysia. Ooi, who has been with Ogilvy for four years, previously served as Director, Talent, Singapore & Malaysia at Ogilvy Singapore Pte Ltd. In her new role, she will report to Sue Olivier, Chief People Officer, Ogilvy Asia Pacific, and Kunal Jeswani, CEO of Ogilvy ASEAN.

Ooi will oversee all people-related functions across Ogilvy’s offices in Singapore and Malaysia, working closely with business leaders to foster a vibrant workplace culture. She will spearhead the agency’s talent strategy, ensuring employees feel valued, engaged, and motivated to do their best work. Her leadership will reinforce Ogilvy Singapore & Malaysia as top destinations for industry-leading talent.

With over two decades of experience in talent management, Ooi has worked across industries including advertising, brand creative design, IT solutions, logistics, and freight forwarding. Her expertise spans recruitment, training and development, HR business partnering, employee mobility, policy creation, and performance management.

Ooi’s advertising career began at Leo Burnett in 2011, where she swiftly rose to HR Director, later expanding her role as Regional HR Lead for APAC. Following the formation of Publicis Communications in 2016, she took on HR leadership for Saatchi & Saatchi and Prodigious, alongside Leo Burnett. Before joining Ogilvy, Ooi led HR at Design Bridge Asia, a WPP Group creative brand design agency, where she was also part of the senior leadership team, extending her remit to China.

Most recently, Ooi played a pivotal role in strengthening Ogilvy’s Talent function, delivering strategic value to the business. Her contributions were instrumental in Ogilvy Singapore being named Campaign’s Agency of the Year Southeast Asia Best Culture in 2023.

Ooi holds a Bachelor of Business (Management) with Distinction, majoring in Human Resource Management from RMIT University, and a Diploma in Business from Temasek Polytechnic, specializing in Human Resource Management and Corporate Communications.
