Ogilvy has kicked off its 2026 work year by unveiling a permanent portrait of legendary advertising leader Piyush Pandey at the entrance of its Mumbai office, paying tribute to a figure who has profoundly shaped Indian advertising.
The installation was revealed in the presence of teams from across the agency and was shared publicly by Harshad Rajadhyaksha, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, through a LinkedIn post. He described the moment as both symbolic and deeply emotional, noting that Pandey’s presence and words will now greet everyone entering the office.

Captured by acclaimed visual artist Suresh Natarajan, the portrait features Pandey alongside one of his most enduring pieces of advice, “Front foot pe khelo,” a phrase synonymous with his belief in optimism, courage and proactive leadership. The unveiling was led by the youngest members of Ogilvy’s workforce, reinforcing the agency’s focus on passing down creative values across generations.
Rajadhyaksha shared that placing Pandey’s portrait at the entrance is meant to act as a daily reminder of the principles that continue to define Ogilvy’s creative culture. Pandey’s long association with the agency has played a pivotal role in shaping its philosophy, with his work influencing iconic campaigns and nurturing enduring client partnerships.
Widely regarded as one of India’s most influential advertising voices, Pandey is celebrated for championing storytelling grounded in cultural insight and emotional depth. His legacy continues to inspire creative professionals across the industry.
The installation also reflects Ogilvy’s intent to enter 2026 by honouring its legacy while inspiring future talent, symbolising continuity between the agency’s storied past and its evolving creative future.
