Mukund Olety Moves to WPP’s Creative Leadership for The Coca-Cola Company in Europe

Mukund Olety, who most recently served as Chief Creative Officer at VML India, has officially stepped down from his position to join WPP’s creative leadership team for The Coca-Cola Company in Europe. In this new role, Olety will help shape the creative vision for one of the world’s most iconic brands across the European market.

During his tenure at VML, Olety played a pivotal role in shaping the agency’s creative direction and reputation. He was responsible for providing strategic and creative leadership across marquee client accounts, while also mentoring and nurturing the next generation of creative talent. He led key relationships with clients, media, and industry partners—helping strengthen VML’s standing in the market.

In a note to industry peers, Olety shared,

“I’ve always believed that good things happen when you do great work, and now I’m thrilled to announce my next chapter: I’ll be moving within the system as part of WPP’s creative leadership for The Coca-Cola Company in Europe. This is truly a dream role, and I’m honored by the immense trust placed in me.”

Prior to his time at VML, Olety held senior creative roles at BBDO China, where he led key mandates for Mars Wrigley, Visa, and Volkswagen. His global experience also includes stints at Leo Burnett in Malaysia and Ogilvy in India.

Earlier in his career, he served as Creative Supervisor at DDB Mudra Group, managing top Indian fashion and beverage accounts such as Springfield, Bossini, Kappa, McDowell’s No.1, DSP Black, and Peter England. As Associate Creative Director at Leo Burnett, he led creative for McDonald’s, Maxis, Carlsberg, and Coke.

Olety’s move signals WPP’s continued investment in seasoned creative leadership to deliver world-class brand storytelling across global markets.
