Motorola Mobility Elevates Shivam Ranjan to Global Head of Brand

July 21, 2025 – Motorola Mobility, a Lenovo company, has announced the promotion of Shivam Ranjan to the role of Global Head of Brand. In this new capacity, Ranjan will lead Motorola’s global brand strategy and oversee integrated marketing communications for its portfolio of products, software, and services across international markets.

Prior to this global elevation, Ranjan served as Head of Marketing for the APAC region, where he played a key role in strengthening Motorola’s brand presence and marketing operations across several high-priority markets. His leadership in the region laid the foundation for consistent brand growth, local market engagement, and innovative campaign execution.

Reflecting on his journey, Ranjan shared thorugh a LinkedIn post,

“Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading marketing for India and then the broader APAC region. Each chapter has been a remarkable journey—full of learning, growth, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to both the brand and the business.”

On stepping into the global role, he added, 

“As I now take on the honor of leading the Motorola brand on a global stage, I’m both humbled and excited about what lies ahead. Motorola is an iconic name in the industry, and I look forward to contributing to its continued evolution and global impact.”

Ranjan’s diverse background spans both engineering and marketing. He began his career as a software engineer at Infosys, before transitioning into marketing roles across multiple industries. His past experience includes positions at Fiberlink, Arshiya International, and Kelvin Cold Chain Logistics.

He also served as Senior Manager – Marketing at Samsung Electronics, where he led 360-degree communication strategies for high-profile product and service launches. Later, as Head of Brand and Marketing at Airtel Payments Bank, Ranjan drove brand visibility and consumer engagement across ATL, BTL, and digital platforms, while managing the brand’s annual marketing budget.

Ranjan’s appointment as Global Head of Brand underscores Motorola’s commitment to nurturing talent and driving consistent brand evolution in a dynamic and competitive global marketplace.
