Meta has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as Managing Director and Head of Meta in India, effective July 1, 2025. The move comes as part of the company’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership and strategic priorities across key growth markets.
This appointment follows the recent announcement of Sandhya Devanathan taking on an expanded role, now leading Meta’s business across India and South East Asia. In his new capacity, Arun will continue to report to Devanathan and will play a pivotal role in aligning Meta’s business, innovation, and revenue objectives to better serve partners and clients in India.
With nearly 30 years of experience in leadership roles across Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, OLA, and WestBridge Capital, Arun brings deep expertise in sales, marketing, and business transformation. A post-graduate from IIM Kolkata, he has served as Director and Head of Ads Business for Meta India since 2020, where he successfully led strategic engagements with the country’s top advertisers and agency partners, driving focus areas such as AI, Reels, and Messaging.
In this new role, Arun will lead Meta’s India charter, focusing on scaling innovation, building stronger partner ecosystems, and accelerating the platform’s impact across brands, advertisers, developers, and creators. His mandate includes fostering long-term growth and advancing Meta’s commitment to India as a key market.
Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President of Meta for India and South East Asia, shared:
“As India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation, we are excited to have Arun at the helm of our efforts in this critical market. Meta in India is leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels, and Arun’s impressive track record of building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and fostering strong partnerships makes him the ideal leader to drive Meta’s continued investment in the country. He will continue to work closely with me as we scale the business in India.”
This appointment underlines Meta’s continued investment in India and its mission to build deeper connections with people, businesses, and communities through cutting-edge digital solutions.
