Maruti Suzuki has appointed Sunil Kakkar as Whole-Time Director, designated as Director (Corporate Planning), for a three-year term from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028. Previously serving as the Senior Executive Officer, Kakkar led the corporate planning vertical and was a key member of the executive committee.
With over 35 years at Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), Kakkar has held several leadership positions, including heading the supply chain division and managing the Gurgaon production plant. He played a crucial role in developing supply chains for major projects and enhancing local sourcing.
Kakkar has also been instrumental in forging partnerships with companies from Japan, Italy, and France for advanced technologies such as controllers, AMT systems, plastic fuel tanks, and high-strength sheet metal.
Additionally, he serves as a director on the boards of multiple Maruti Suzuki associate companies, including Mark Exhaust Systems, SKH Metals, and Hanon Climate Systems India.
