JioStar has appointed Aravamudhan K to the position of Executive Vice President, Legal and Regulatory, marking a significant step in his longstanding journey within the media and entertainment sector.
Aravamudhan, who shared the news through a LinkedIn announcement, has been serving as Head of Public Policy at Star India since November 2024. His professional experience spans nearly two decades across regulatory strategy, government relations, compliance, and corporate communication.
Previously, he held key leadership roles including Assistant Vice President at STAR India beginning in July 2012, where he managed regulatory approvals, stakeholder communications, and policy compliance. Between July 2023 and March 2025, he worked as Head of Public Policy at Viacom18 Media. Before that, he served as Executive Director, Government Relations at The Walt Disney Company India from January 2022 to July 2023.
Aravamudhan also spent nearly five years as Senior Vice President at Star TV Network (August 2017 – January 2022). Earlier in his career, he held roles such as Senior Manager, Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs at STAR India (2007–2012), Manager, Corporate Communication at Star India (2007–2008), and Manager at MCCS India (ABP Network) between 2006 and 2007.
