JioStar Appoints Debasmita Ghosh As Vice President – Agency Business

JioStar has named Debasmita Ghosh as its new Vice President – Agency Business, with her role based out of Bengaluru. She steps into the position following a successful two-year tenure at Disney+ Hotstar, where she served as Director and Head of Agency Relations.

During her time at Disney+ Hotstar, Ghosh led high-performing, revenue-driven sales teams and managed strategic relationships at the CXO level. She played a key role in expanding business from large enterprise agencies as well as more than 500 mid-tier and SMB partners. Her work strengthened the platform’s digital, content-led and impact-focused solutions, supported by close collaboration with stakeholders across the advertising ecosystem.

Prior to that, Ghosh spent nearly four years at ShareChat and Moj, rising through multiple leadership roles to become Senior Director and National Vertical Lead for e-commerce, social tech, food tech, and travel tech. She drove branded content monetisation, influencer-led campaigns, and comprehensive media solutions for brands targeting India’s diverse, language-first audiences.

Her earlier experience includes a leadership stint at Twitter India (via Httpool) as Account Director and South Lead, where she managed major advertisers and guided agencies on platform strategy. She has also held senior roles at Vyoma Technologies, Times Internet, Network18 Digital and India Today, overseeing corporate sales, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and revenue planning.

With close to 20 years of expertise in digital media and advertising sales, Ghosh brings deep knowledge in platform monetisation, solution-oriented selling, and the agency ecosystem—strengthening JioStar’s strategic ambitions in the evolving digital landscape.
