Integral Ad Science Appoints Lidiane Jones as CEO, Succeeding Lisa Utzschneider

Published on: July 8, 2026

Integral Ad Science (IAS) has named Lidiane Jones as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Lisa Utzschneider, who has led the digital media measurement company for more than seven years. The leadership transition comes as the rapid adoption of generative AI continues to reshape the digital advertising landscape and increase the need for trusted, independent measurement solutions.

During a conversation with Beet.TV founder Andy Plesser at the POSSIBLE conference in May, Utzschneider discussed the strategic priorities that have positioned IAS for its next phase of growth.

She identified connected TV (CTV) as a major growth opportunity, highlighting IAS’s Total TV initiative and its integrations with platforms including Amazon Prime, Disney, NBCUniversal, and Paramount. According to Utzschneider, these partnerships provide advertisers with transparency comparable to traditional television, helping brands confidently redirect media investments toward streaming.

Utzschneider also emphasized IAS’s proprietary content classification technology as a significant competitive advantage. She explained that the company’s large language models are capable of classifying video, image, audio, and text content in real time across dozens of African languages without requiring translation into English, enabling more accurate and scalable content analysis.

Jones, who has previously held senior leadership positions at Microsoft, Salesforce, Slack, and Bumble, said her focus will be on accelerating the company’s momentum rather than altering its strategic direction.

“Our goal is to become a very critical part of the trust infrastructure of this AI era,” Jones told Axios, which first reported the appointment. “IAS has the right technology, the right people and the right customer base for us to go do that.”

Utzschneider, who guided IAS through its 2021 public listing before the company’s $1.9 billion acquisition by Novacap in September 2025, will continue to support the business as a special advisor to the board through the end of the year.

Reflecting on the transition, she said the timing was right for both the company and its future leadership.

“It just felt like the right moment in time for IAS, now as a private company, to step down and hand the reins over to a phenomenal tech leader like Lidiane Jones.”
