Google has officially appointed Ragini Das as the Head of Google for Startups, India, marking a significant step in the company’s continued commitment to strengthening India’s startup ecosystem. With over 13 years of experience in leadership, growth, and entrepreneurship, Das will lead initiatives that empower founders by connecting them with the right people, products, and practices to scale their ventures successfully.
Sharing her excitement on LinkedIn, Ragini Das said, “Life has come full circle, and I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Google as Head of Google for Startups – India,” Reflecting on her journey from her first Google interview in 2013 to now leading its startup arm in India, she described the move as a moment of destiny.
Prior to this role, Ragini Das co-founded leap.club, a women-focused professional network where she served from January 2020 to June 2025. Under her leadership, leap.club became a community-driven platform that connected ambitious women professionals and founders. Before that, she spent over six years at Zomato, handling key growth and leadership roles including Sales and Marketing Manager, Key Accounts Manager, Area Sales Manager, and Global Growth Lead for Zomato Gold.
Her career began at Trident Group India, where she managed key accounts for international brands such as Ralph Lauren and JC Penney, gaining early exposure to global marketing operations.
In her new position at Google, Ragini Das will focus on advancing Google for Startups’ mission to nurture India’s thriving entrepreneurial landscape. By enabling access to Google’s global network, cutting-edge technology, and mentorship programs, she aims to help founders tackle some of India’s biggest business challenges and scale globally.
This appointment highlights Google’s ongoing investment in India’s digital growth story and reaffirms its dedication to supporting startups as key drivers of innovation and economic progress.
