Food Pharmer Launches Clean-Label Brand to Champion Healthier Eating

Revant Himatsingka, widely known as Food Pharmer, is launching a clean-label food brand, Only What’s Needed (OWN), aimed at offering minimally processed products with honest labeling. Known for calling out misleading health claims by big food brands, Himatsingka has built a community of 2.8 million followers on Instagram.

OWN is part of his mission to shift from highlighting problems to offering solutions. He’s also introducing a ‘Food Pharmer Approved’ certification to help consumers easily identify trustworthy products.

This move aligns with a rising trend of purpose-led food brands in India, like The Whole Truth Foods and Open Secret, which are built on founder belief systems rather than boardroom strategies. Such brands often enjoy better pricing acceptance, lower acquisition costs, and stronger loyalty.

The key challenge will be scaling without compromising on values—something past success stories like Patanjali and Amul have achieved.

With OWN, Food Pharmer aims to offer not just alternatives but a movement- one that’s grounded in purpose and built on consumer trust.
