The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has renewed the appointment of Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer at Adani Sportsline, as Co-Chairperson of its Sports Committee for the 2025–26 term. The reappointment underscores FICCI’s continued focus on driving greater private sector participation in the growth and professionalisation of Indian sports.
In his renewed role, Adesara will work closely with Committee Chairperson PKSV Sagar to shape strategic priorities for the sector. His mandate includes contributing to policy recommendations, encouraging private investment, and supporting national ambitions such as hosting large-scale international sporting events, including India’s bid for the 2036 Olympic Games.
As Chief Business Officer at Adani Sportsline, Adesara oversees the company’s sports portfolio across leagues such as the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), and International League T20 (ILT20). Prior to this, he spent over 16 years at Adani Wilmar, where he served as Head of Marketing and earned recognition for driving impactful brand and business growth.
With his deep experience across sports, marketing, and business strategy, Adesara’s continued leadership is expected to strengthen FICCI’s efforts to build a more robust, investment-friendly sports ecosystem in India.
